AVM (Dr.) Mohammed Nurudeen Imam (CFR)

Chairman

After a 27-year career in the Nigerian Air Force (rising to the rank of Air Vice Marshall), AVM (Dr.) Imam was appointed the Minister of Mines, Power and Steel of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a position he held from 1989 to 1993. He chaired various public organizations during and after this public assignment. Dr. Imam founded the Monument Group of companies in 1992 and was the chairman of the largest construction company in Nigeria – Julius Berger Nig. PLC (www.julius-berger.com) from 2008 to 2016. Other notable positions he has held are: Director, Afribank PLC  Chairman, Utilities Charges Commission (UCC); Chairman, Funds for Mineral Producing States and Chairman, Nigerian Aluminum Smelting Company of Nigeria (ALSCON) as well as on the board of trustees for educational institutions including Bayero University Development Board, Dowen College and Prime College.

Faisal Imam BSc MBA DipM

Group Managing Director

Faisal Imam has overall responsibility for deal origination, new ventures, fund raising, and the development and exit of investments made by the Group in private and public companies. He holds an MBA from the University of Wales (Cardiff), a BSc in Accountancy from University of Maiduguri (Nigeria) and a postgraduate diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in England and Wales (DipM).

Farouk Imam M.Eng M.Sc

Managing Director

Farouk Imam started his career with Canadian Occidental (CanOxy) in Nigeria as a production and facilities engineer for an offshore asset. He oversaw the asset through most of its field life over a period of 6 years. Farouk joined Monument in 2004 as an Executive Director, where he took the lead in managing the Groups principal investment firm, Monuments Assets as well as overall responsibility for Monument Developments real estate business. Farouk holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering (M.Eng.) from Imperial College, London and an MSc in Investment Management from the ICMA Center (University of Reading). He is an associate member of the City & Guilds Institute.

Kareemah Imam-Aliyu LLM, LLB

Managing Director, Light House Foundation

An international human rights lawyer with volunteer and professional work experience involving Human Rights and the Rights of Women. Kareemah worked in Holland and Knight Law firm in Washington DC providing legal assistance to immigrants and asylees. Currently, she is the CEO of Lighthouse Humanitarian Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors of Prime College. She holds a dual master’s degree in International and Comparative law from George Washington University, (Washington, DC) and International and Economic Law from Warwick University, UK. She is a member of the Nigerian bar association.

Ilina Rabiu MSc

Managing Director – Airtime Networks

Ilina joined the Monument Group in 2001 as head of customer care in Airtime Networks. She has been the Managing Director of Airtime Networks since 2010. With over 15 years of experience in Management and Retail Distribution. She led the company to become the largest Mobile Telecommunications services distributor in Northern Nigeria. More recently, Ilina worked closely with Monuments executives to move Airtime Networks into the electronic recharge space, making the company’s products and services accessible nationwide.

llina holds a Master’s Degree in Economics with specialty in Accounting and Financial Supervision from the Economic University of Varna, Bulgaria.

Olumide Odewole B.Sc ACA

Chief Operations Officer (COO), Monument Limited

Olumide Odewole plays a major role in the strategy, planning and provision of financial leadership for Cocoon Homes. Prior to joining the Company in May 2017, Olumide was the Chief Finance Officer of a real estate development firm. His other experiences include Corporate Finance and Governance Consultant for a leading business and management Consulting firm in Nigeria, Finance and Strategy Manager for a leading downstream oil and gas company in Nigeria, Core Planning Manager for a telecommunications consulting firm in Nigeria, and Accounts Manager and Tax Accountant for a leading FMCG company in Nigeria.

Olumide is a qualified accountant (ICAN and ACCA), and he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the Oxford Brookes University (UK). He is also a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute.

Musa Ayegba DipFin

Group Accountant

Chief Musa Ayegba (DipFin) holds a Diploma in Finance & Accounts from the British Career Training College, Jersey (1983). His experience spans over 30 years in managing financial instruments, asset management, evaluation and reporting. Chief Musa has worked in several sectors of the Nigerian economy including Manufacturing, Telecommunications and Real Estate.

Nanbol Josiah CPP PCI PSP

Group Head, Safety & Security

Nanbol is a security professional with experience in Corporate and Industrial Security with various private and public companies in Nigeria. He holds the Global Qualification in Corporate and Industrial Security. Prior to joining Monument Group he held key Management positions with different Security organisations such as Halogen Security Company Ltd, Proton Security and Safetech Security Company limited.
