In 2003, Mega Tech Networks (a Monument subsidiary) won a Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) bid for a 3.5 Ghtz license to provide voice and data services in Kano State. Services were rolled out as planned, and the license expanded to provide mobile CDMA services in three states. The business was successfully exited in 2008.
