Dr. Mohammed Nurudeen Imam: After a 27-year career in the Nigerian Air Force (rising to the rank of Air Vice Marshall), AVM (Dr.) Imam was appointed the Minister of Mines, Power and Steel of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a position he held from 1989 to 1993.

He chaired various public organizations during and after this public assignment.

He founded the Monument Group of companies in 1992 and was the chairman of the largest construction company in Nigeria – Julius Berger Nig. PLC (www.julius-berger.com) from 2008 to 2016.

Other notable positions he has held are: Director, Afribank PLC Chairman, Utilities Charges Commission (UCC); Chairman, Funds for Mineral Producing States and Chairman, Nigerian Aluminum Smelting Company of Nigeria (ALSCON) as well as on the board of trustees for educational institutions including Bayero University Development Board, Dowen College and Prime College.
